Single Track Sunday

When: Meet at 9:45 am, run by 10:00 am
Where: Lost Lake Trail, Whiteshell Provincial Park

Join us for a run in the Whiteshell!

Option 1: We’ll enjoy this 6.5 km out-and-back route that offers two lookouts over, wait for it, NOT Lost Lake, but West Hawk Lake.

Option 2: Continue from the lookout to the south, making this almost 12km out-and-back for runners wanting to see more of this boreal wonderland! Download the long route (gpx).

In an effort to minimize the number of vehicles travelling, we will be organizing a carpool leaving Big Sky Run Co. at 7:30 am. Please arrive by 7:20-ish if you’re able to carpool. Friends with vehicles with all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicles who are willing to drive are welcome. There is limited parking at the trailhead, so we strongly encourage joining the carpool or arranging your own carpool with friends.

Hot Tip: Have a change of clothes and shoes for the ride home. You can get chilled quickly in damp running clothes, particularly in cooler temperatures. A thermos of something warm to drink afterward is also nice! Some groups may wish to stop in at the Nighthawk in West Hawk Lake on the way back to the city.
