MATR is planning (another) Whiteshell snowshoe stomp and trail maintenance day on Saturday, January 7, 2023!

Meeting Time: 8:45 am @ the Bear Lake/ Hansons Creek trailhead parking lot (pit toilet available on site). Depending on parking lot conditions and participant count we will either all drive or shuttle groups to Telford pond.

Plan: ~ 7 hours of trail packing and maintenance as conditions allow. This group will be led by Adam. We will be hiking in on the Telford pond access trail to the Centennial Trail. Depending on conditions, once we hit the Centennial junction we will head east towards Hanson's Creek or west towards the Telford tower junction and return the way we came.

Carpooling strongly encouraged. We will be organizing a meetup point at the Tim Horton's at 646 Archibald St, Winnipeg, MB at 6:45 am to carpool. For those driving, a high-clearance vehicle with all-wheel drive or 4x4 is recommended.

We are planning this outing regardless of temperatures - dress for the weather (and effort) if you plan to join us. The outing will only be cancelled if inclement weather makes it unsafe to travel on highways on the day.
